It has been a fabulous past 3 weeks with Jason home....although I have not seen him too much. My school is still taking over my time but will hopefully slow down after this week. The week Jason got home I had 3 tests and then this past week I have had 2 tests and one exam. So I have one more test an exam this week. And then I will be down to only 1 class for the rest of February. Anyhoooo....I still feel bad because every night after getting home from work, I am studying until time to go to bed. Although I do know he understands, I sill feel bad.
Brad, Jason's brother, came in for a few days and they had a great time fishing...but unfortunately they did not catch anything. I think they did enjoy getting to hang out with each other.
Here are a few pics from their trip and also check out the website as J has uploaded a few there too.
Have a Blessed Week!

He's Baaccckk!!

YAY!!!! Jason totally surprised me yesterday at my school! I was not expecting him until the weekend and he snuck in early to surprise me. He had the front office people pull me out of class saying the "guidance couselor" needed to speak with me. And I quickly was thinking if I owed the school any money or if I had done something?!! When low and behold I walked the office and he was sitting right there! It was the best gift I have ever received. And of course I had to embarrass him a bit and take in my class to show him off and everyone was cheering when I bought him in.
I will keep this short, but wanted to let everyone know that he is finally home safely!! We both thank each of you for your support and prayers for these past few months!!
Pictures will soon be posted on our website...so please check back in a few days!

Rearranging.....Reawakening

So we had a wonderful service last night at church. I must say I love being in church on Saturday nights!! I was an usher, so I only got to hear bits and pieces of the message, but what I got from it was that if we rearrange our lives (finances, relationships, priorities, etc.) then our appetite for God will be reawakened. PF is doing a series on an appetite for God. I know this is a really brief summary of the message but you can go here to download the podcast. GREAT stuff!
Also, just a side note to the vacuum cleaner issue....I was able to find a belt and replaced it and now have beautiful vacuum lines throughout the house. Well that is, until everyone comes this afternoon for the study group! I did learn, although this sounds really gross, that I need to take the vacuum apart every so often and clean it all, not just the filter and canister. I almost have ocd with cleaning, but guess, not if the vacuum is dirty! LOL:)
I pray you all have a wonderful week and hopefully some fantastic news will be posted this week!! YIIIPPEEE!!

Crunch Time...

Well, we are almost down to counting hours now until J returns and man is it crunch time now. All has gone relatively smoothly around the house the past few weeks until tonight. I am giving the house one last good scrub down before J comes home and whadda ya know...something has gotta go wrong. I think it all started this morning while I was getting ready...when somehow I knocked my soap dispenser in the sink and it hit the faucet on the way down and of course broke, but thankfully it was in the sink, so the soap was easy to clean up, but now I need to get a new dispenser to match the rest of the bathroom stuff. But I finished getting ready, went to a 7am conference and on to school at 8 for a test in which I did make a 98 (sorry, had to give myself a pat on the back for a second, for that test - I really needed that high grade) and then into the lectures the rest of the day. I then went to work until 7pm (had to make up the time I missed last night cause I was getting my hair "did!") Anyhoo...I finally made it home and proceeded to start cleaning. I got everything done except the vacuuming and mopping. So I came upstairs to get the vacuum and when I turned it on it made a loud pop and then started smelling like some burnt rubber...so yes, I now need to go tomorrow to try to find a new belt for it. I am a little scared that no one will have one in store and I will have to order one online because the vacuum is ancient (7.5 years old!) If I can not find one, I may have to resort to the shopvac somehow....I of course, do not want to make a big purchase such as a vacuum cleaner without J being home. But hopefully I will find a belt tomorrow because I am having a study group here on Sunday afternoon and J will be home very soon and the carpets need some cleaning! So crunch time has set it and the clock is ticking fast!
So we shall see tomorrow what happens!!

Happy New Year!!

Wikipedia defines a New Year's resolution as a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Years Day and remain until fulfilled or abandoned.
I pray that mine are fulfilled and not abandoned. So here we go...

to a year
...welcoming Jason home in less than 2 weeks - YEAH!!
...spending a whole year with my Best Friend (hopefully no more deployments this year - not that we can control them??)
...great date nights
...being a better wife

to a year
...of enjoying the many blessings from God
...going to a new level with the Lord
...being all that the Lord wants me to be

to a year
...finally finishing my first step to a future as an nurse (and with academic honors-I pray!)
...spending or contacting my friends more
...getting back into my workout routine (I have slipped a bit with school)
