New Kicks!

Well another bad, embarrassing parent moment....I realized last week that Kerricks shoes were getting a little too small. In fact 1 whole size too small after going to get new shoes this weekend. The store did not have the ones we liked in stock so they got another store to ship them to us. They came in last night and here he is this morning before heading out to school sporting his new kicks and his CHEESE smile while flicking me off. Excuse the pacifier as he was attached to that thing this morning, as you can see he carried his cereal bar around vs eating the thing.
Kerrick has said his first official sentence this week which is "Where did it go?" It is too funny. We go walking and he would see a bird which would then fly off and he would say, where did it go? He has learned to hide something behind his back and then look at you and say where did it go? I have been trying to catch it on video the last 2 nights but he wants the camera once he sees me recording him, so I will keep trying to catch him on camera. But click HERE and this is a video from last night. We went outside to eat Popsicles and he decided to go sit on the side of the house and babble and show me the rocks.
Hope you all are having a great week!!

New Pics from Jason

Here are a few pictures Jason posted up today. It was during PT on Thursday where they did a swim400M-run2.5 miles-swim400M. WHOA that swim looks pretty long in the picture....I like to swim but! Jason said he did not have fins for the first swim portion but had some the second swim portion which made a big difference. He is doing well and looking forward to coming home.

Lil Munchkin Update

We had another appointment with the Perinatologist today to check on Lil Munchkin's kidneys. He/She was hiccuping the whole time but was very cooperative. At the last visit the left kidney measure 7mm and the right was 12 mm. Today the left was pretty much the same but the right has dilated a bit more to 15mm. We will go back again in 3 weeks for one more sonogram to see if they have dilated any more. At that point he will decide if he will send us to the Pediatric Urologist or not. At this point we have a bit more time to play with, so we are praying that the kidneys work themselves out and the next visit they will beconstricted. If we do have to go to the Pediatric Urologist he would then just talk to us about the plan for when this little one is born and talk it over with the Pediatrician he/she will be seeing, so there will be a game plan set should we need it at the time of delivery. I am still not too concerned at this point, so we will see what the kidneys are up to in 3 weeks and then go from there.
Other than that the lil munchkin is already weighing in at 4.1 pounds and measuring 1 week ahead (hope they do not get too much bigger in these last few weeks!!) Kerrick was 6.4 pounds and that was plenty big for an all natural delivery!
Sorry no picture of lil munchkin with this post.... she was trying to get a good shot of his/her face, but I was getting a little sick from my bp dropping from being on my back for so long, but hopefully next time she can get a good shot. Lil Munchkin definitely is already like his brother as they always have their hands at their face like Kerrick did.

Gramm's Visit

Gramm's came in last Friday and headed back today. What a fun time we had with her here and sure miss her TONS already! Just wish Teddy could have made this trip too, but we are counting down the weeks until they are both out here again!! Last weekend we did a little shopping and then got a lot of stuff cleaned and ready for the Lil Munchkin that will soon be here. On Monday, I took off work (wish I could have taken the whole week off) and we went down to the San Antonio Children's Museum for the morning. It was fun and I believe Kerrick had a wonderful time as he was wore out afterwards. The rest of the week I went to work and Gramm's and Kerrick had some good ol QT time. Click HERE to see the pictures from this week - sorry I have not labeled the pictures! We are glad you got to come out Gramm's as we had a blast with you and thanks for all you did for us!! I LOVE to see our family but oh so hate the goodbyes!
I will post a couple of videos later on today.

Fishies

Sorry I am a little over a week late in posting this from Jason. But he was able to go fishing last Friday.
Here is the result of his trip...Click HERE to see some pictures.
Jason is doing good, just counting down the days til homecoming - WOOHOO!! They had their last softball game yesterday in which they lost, so they are out of the playoffs. The next season starts here soon and he will play on that team as well. Not much else going on for Jason, just trying to wrap this thing up with a quickness!!

Perinatologist

Here are a few pictures of our lil munchkin aka Kerrick JR...I think he/she looks just like Kerrick. But then again maybe all ultrasound pictures of babies look the same. And he/she was very cooperative despite the sugar I had ingested for my glucose test before the appointment. They smiled a bit when she was taking the 4d pictures - too cute!!
I went this morning to meet with the Perinatologist for the first time so he can check out lil munchkins kidneys and just an overall check up for the baby. So long story short, the kidneys are still dilated and have dilated a bit more than the last ultrasound we had 2 weeks ago. One kidney is 7mm and the other is 12mm. They should be 5mm or less. When they hit 12mm, that is the "majic" number to start monitoring them more. And if the kidneys hit 20mm then we will go see a Pediatric urologist to get a plan in motion for when the baby is born. So we will go back in 3 weeks for another ultrasound to see if they are dilating more or have slowed down.
I am not saying I do not have a slight worry in the far back of my mind, but overall I am not too concerned at this point as I have said before, this is a very common diagnosis for fetuses. So we will keep you all posted.
And on another note....Kerrick is doing well despite a few bumps still there, but is back to his normal, silly self! I still can not believe he did not complain about the pain of the bumps or bother the bumps at all as they looked oh so painful.
Jason is doing well too. They finished up the regular season of softball with a winning game. So onto the playoffs they will go. I am not quite sure when the playoffs start. But hopefully this weekend he and another guy can get out and see some sites around there. So I might get some pictures to post on here if he is able to get out. I know he is glad they will be able to wear shorts again and drink water in public!!
May you all have a Wonderful Labor Day weekend!
