First Boat Ride

Here are a few pictures of Kerrick and Caelum's first ever boat ride....Kerrick even got to "drive" the boat and do a little "fishing!" Caelum looks scared in the picture, but he did have a good time...not sure what happen to the other few pictures I took of him, only this one showed up?!

Day Trip

This past Saturday we headed to visit Jason's family for the day. We started off by going to see all of the progress Toby and Karen have made on their house they are building....they are almost done (well from my perspective although I am sure there are many more details than I know of when it comes to building a house!) But it is looking good!!
Then we headed up to the Ranch for a quick visit with Nonna and Poppa and then onto the lake for the afternoon. The boys had their first ever boat ride and loved it...although Kerrick was not sure what to think at first.
Here are a few pictures of the Blue Bonnets at the ranch....more to come later!! And a few pics of the fam!

Caelum's 4 Month Stats

Caelum had his 4 month well child check this past Friday along with his shots. He checked out well despite the lovely eczema he has too but thankfully it is not as bad yet as Kerrick had it. He took his immunizations like a champ this time - he just cried when they punctured him but quickly stopped crying. And the days following have been way better than last time!
Here are his numbers....
Weight 13.6 pounds (14%)
Length - 24.2 inches (35%)
Head 41.5 cm (97%)
As of now, he is a bit more of a lightweight than Kerrick was at this age...so we shall see. But he is doing great with everything. He loves to laugh and talk to you! He has pretty good head control now, in which he can sit in his exersaucer - as you can see above! This past week he has been sleeping through the night (8pm - 4am) - WOOHOO!! Now that he is sleeping through the night, Kerrick is not - hopefully they will get on a the same page and hopefully very soon!!
Here are a few pictures from yesterday of Caelum in his exersaucer for the first time and Kerrick teaching him about all the toys on the saucer.

4 months old

Caelum hit 4 months old this week and here are his Monthly Chair Pics!! We started feeding him some rice cereal with some fruit yesterday too. He seemed to like it ok, although we go only about half of it to stay in his mouth, but he will get the hang of it!! But he is doing great and getting oh so big. I think he is the hit of his class as they say he is always laughing and talking - but hopefully he will not do that once he hits kindergarten or at least knows when he can and can't talk!! LOL!! But he does love to talk and still loves to watch everything Kerrick does. He is almost rolling over from his back...he does it great on the couch due to the little hill, so I have to give him some credit for a roll over!
We go this Friday for his 4 month well child, so we will post about all his stats then.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Well a day late...but hope you all had a fun day!!

Lazy Sunday

And here are some pics of the boys hanging out today....and Yes, Kerrick stayed in the PJs all day and played outside in them. We would have left Caelum in his, but being he is a slobber box right now, he soaks his bibs and clothes all day long! And as you can see, looks like they both have gotten in a cat fight with the scratches on their face. I promise we cut their nails once a week, but them things grow so fast!

Big Boy Bed

Here are some pics of Kerrick posing in his Big Boy Bed today!!

Moving on Up!

So I think we are finally going to setup Kerrick's bed as a toddler daybed this weekend. We have waited this long as he has not tried getting out, until this past weekend. He has only gotten out after his naps and then again Tuesday morning while I stayed home with Caelum. Thankfully he has not gotten hurt yet, but I think he stays in it at night as he is afraid of the dark?? But the funny story of it all, is when he woke up Sunday from his nap, I heard his door shut and then he appeared at the top of the stairs saying "Hey Babe, I'm awake!!" I just laughed which then he started laughing. Jason and I call each other Babe, so if one of us is up or downstairs and Kerrick is at the opposite end, he always yeah, Hey Babe as loud as he can until we respond back and then he babbles something to us. But I thought that was oh so funny when he woke up he yelled that down the stairs. So we will have pictures to follow after his Big Boy Bed transition - just hope he stays in it at night. Shall be an interesting weekend!

On another note....Caelum has not had any more fevers, but we still thinks he feels poorly. He had a rough afternoon yesterday at school. Between 1200 and 4:45 he ate only 1 ounce of formula and was fussier than normal. They called me at 4:00 to see if they could give him some Tylenol as he may have some pain. But he ate about 1 more ounce when he got home then got down about 3.5 ounces before bed. But he is now waking up 2 times a night, so hopefully this sickness does not change his sleeping patterns permanently....poor lil guy :( Hopefully today will be better!

Caelum's First ER Visit

Unfortunately, Caelum had his first ER visit last night. All seemed to have been ok with him at school yesterday. But about 30 minutes after we got home his cheeks started getting red and he was beginning to feel warm. So we took his temperature and it was 101.6, which normally I would not fret over but with his kidney situation we can not play around with temperatures - per the Urologist. So we took his clothes off trying to cool him down a bit but 30 minutes later it had only went down to 101.3. So we made the decision to take him onto the ER last night and he was diagnosed with Bilateral Ear Infection. So thankfully it was not a UTI but still stinks the poor little guy has ear infections. He is still a happy little boy despite that. His temperature came down a bit this morning, but we kept him out of school for the day and I am staying home from work. And Thankfully it was a quick visit to the ER (I think him being so young and a high heart rate (due to the fever) helped push him through there faster?!
I was holding him the whole time in the ER as he was cranky due to it being his bedtime and he was tired, so I of course could not get a picture. But all seems ok with him this morning...hopefully we both can take us a long needed nap! We will keep you posted!

A Day at the Park

This past Sunday, the boys and myself met up with Jamilia and Caden at the park on Lackland. This was Caelum's first time going to the park.
Here are some pictures of the boys playing!

Caelum's Dedication

On January 28 we had Caelum dedicated at church. The service was in the afternoon and was solely for child and parent dedications. It was a very nice service yet very long as there were about 15 other families....and you can only imagine how much louder it was than a normal church service due to all the little ones being so antsy. Thankfully Caelum did well and slept through most of it but Kerrick was not having any part of it - but we later found out he had an ear infection during this time as well.
But during the service they would bring up the parents, children and their families and/or godparents. The pastor would tell what the childs name meant and a bible verse that relates to their name meaning. And then we were all prayed for. And here is Caelum's...
Caelum means Heavenly. His verse is Psalm 29:1, "Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for his glory and strength."
The pictures above are of the ones the church took...it was a bit hard for us to take pictures as we had our hands full with the little ones. Sorry it is not the best quality and the size is funky as I had scanned in the pictures they had sent us.

Caelum is doing great and getting oh so Big!! He is doing great in school. Thankfully he is wore out after school which I believe helps him sleep better at night. Some days he takes good naps at school and some days he just cat naps all day. Either way he is tuckered out when I bring him home. If he does not fall asleep on the short drive home, he usually tries to stay awake through dinner and will sleep on our evening walks! And once we are home from our walk/playing outside both boys take baths together and go to bed right after - so I think we have us a routine now!! But Caleum is a happy lil boy and will talk your ear off and laugh at you - nothing beats hearing a baby laugh!!
