Hoarse

So Kerrick came home from school yesterday and he was hoarse. We thought nothing of it and just thought maybe allergies causing it although he has not had a runny nose. Well today, Jason went to pick him up and they were like yeah Kerrick has been hoarse. And Jason replied, yeah we noticed it last night. Well the truth came out and he and the other little boys in his class try to see who can scream the loudest in which I hope Kerrick won as he is hoarse now. Too Funny!!

Big Brother

Well it is official....Kerrick is going to be a BIG brother in November sometime!!

Our new Swimmer and Gymnasts

Here are a few pictures from this morning before we left for Kerrick's first swim class. Some are a bit blurry as Jason was trying to take pictures behind the glass and not use the flash - but hopefully you can make them out. He did great and I think he liked it for the most part. And I was surprised that going under the water did not bother him too much as he only pouted the first time he went under for only a few seconds. After falling asleep on the way home, he slept for another 3.5 hours.

And I am contemplating enrollling him in gymnastics especially after yesterday. Jason was off and we let Kerrick sleep in and then Jason was going to take him to school. I got up and left for work and did not hear a peep out of Kerrick. I called a few hours later to check on Kerrick as he was not feeling so well the night before. Jason said he was fine and that he got out of his crib on his own. Jason said he heard him crying and then got up put a shirt on and started to head to Kerrick's room only to find at the top of the stairs. Mind you, we usually do not put up a gate at night to block the stairs. He was not crying any more and thankfully was not hurt. The crazy thing is, is that Thursday night I had just said to Jason that we have been very fortunate and Kerrick has not even tried to climb out of his bed...then look what happened the very next day! We thought we had his bed in the lowest position to only find out it does go down one more time, so we lowered it and he did not climb out this morning! And of course are starting to put up a gate at the top of the stairs at night.

It has been a while....

Well it has been a while since the last post. Not too much going on here...just working and Jason has been studying LOTS!! He has the big test next Friday, 18 March - so a last few cram sessions left to be had. We have had some warm spells here and has been nice, so we can take Kerrick out! Last weekend, Brad, Kelly, Katelyn and Kara came for an overnight stay. The kiddos had fun hanging out. I was a very bad parent and did not think to put sunscreen on Kerrick and he got a little sun on Sunday afternoon...a lesson very well learned. Nothing new going on here other than Kerrick growing up WAY to fast....he is starting to copy things we do, so we have to be careful now!! It is too funny, yet scary how smart kids are!!
Hopefully the weekend is nice and we can get Kerrick to the park and get a few more pictures.
