Memorial Day Weekend
Jason and I had a 4 day weekend for Memorial Day. Friday we took the boys to school as I had a doctors appointment and then we went looking for cars. Saturday, our good friends Mike, Jamilia and Caden came over for the day. Jason and Mike went for a motorcycle ride while Jamilia and I took the boys to the pool for a short swim. We all met back at our house to hang out and grill out some grub. Sunday we ran more errands. Then Monday we met up with Mike, Jamilia, Caden, Toby, Karen, Brad, Kelly, Katelyn and Kara at Canyon Lake. Jason and Brad bought their kayaks for us to play around on and the kiddos just played in the water all day. Unfortunately, Jason and I were awarded the bad parents of the year award as Kerrick got sun burn under his eyes pretty bad and his arms got red. We kept reapplying, but his arms still got burned and we did not put sunblock up close under his eyes (not even thinking about it!) It does not seem to bother him but makes my eyes water just seeing him. But we had a wonderful long weekend with our family and friends. Click HERE to see more pictures from the weekend.
6 Months Old
We took Caelum for his 6 month well child appointment this past Thursday and he is growing like a weed and on track! Tomorrow we have to go take him to get a Renal Scan and then see the Urologist again...this scan will tell us about the obstruction and then we will see what the next step will be.
But Caelum is doing great. He is rolling everywhere and talking up a storm! He loves to go outside and hang out. He would rather have his bottle versus eating his baby food, but would loves to eat what we are eating...so he may not stick with the baby food too long and go straight to table food?!Caelum has officially become annoyed with Kerrick and they are already "fighting!" When Kerrick comes near him, Caelum just screams. But he will still laugh at Kerrick while he is playing.
Here are his stats for 6months...
Weight:16.31 lbs
Height:26.28 in
Head Circumference: 44cm
The pictures were from 2 weekends ago (way behind in the blogging world as usual!)

Update on Caelum's Kidneys
So today we went to the Urologist for Caelum's follow-up appointment. We first went for him to have his Ultrasound then met with the Doctor a little bit later. He said Caelum is "not a by the book kid" and is "going to be a handful for us with his urinary system"...not exactly what we wanted to hear. So his right kidney has some reflux still in which should heal on its on and he is not worried at all about his right kidney. His left kidney was dilated by 1cm and is looking like an obstruction. So our next step is for him to get a renal scan. This scan consist of him getting an iv and being cathed. They will insert a dye in the IV in which will allow them to see how his kidneys are or are not flowing. They will then give him a lasix (which will produce lots of urine at one time for him to expel) and then see if the kidneys are working the same. We will go on May 30 for this and then we will see him that afternoon for these results and the next step we will need to take. From what I remember (I was so foggy headed at this point with it all) he said surgery will most likely not be an immediate thing but it will need to be taken care of. So this is where we stand with it all....so please continue to pray for our littlest Dude!!
Caelum is 6 months old!!!
Caleum turned 6 months old yesterday!! He is a happy lil man for the most part! He is doing something new all the time. He loves his hands and socks on his feet (as per picture!) He loves to pull the toes of his socks and sometimes he can get them off. He loves to laugh at Kerrick and watch his every move. Caelum is rolling over now, and is becoming a stomach sleeper. As soon as we put him in his bed, he turns on his side and then when we go get him in the morning he has been on his stomach. He loves to play in his exersaucer and jump up and down. And is talking up a storm and saying Dadada! He is not a big fan of his veggies but of course loves the sweet fruits. And he is not too big on juice (trying to help him with his good ol bowels!) but he will drink a little bit of it. But thankfully loves some water on the hot days!! And it looks like he might have some teeth here soon, as his bottom gums are looking a slight white.
We are suppose to go next week for his 6 month checkup and I will post his stats after that....but he was weighing in a little over 16 pounds this morning at his Urology appointment.
The first few pictures are of the boys on Mother's Day hanging out on the back porch being sweet to each other. And then of course the last few are his 6 month chair shots!!
Mother's Day
Well I am behind the "8 ball" again with blogging, although not too much has been going on. This past weekend being Mother's Day we met up with Toby and Karen, Brad, Kelly, Katelyn, and Kara for on Saturday evening to celebrate Karen for an early Mother's Day dinner. Here is the picture from then...2 shots, as Jason took it one time and Toby took it the other.
The picture is of Kerrick on Saturday afternoon. I put him down for a nap for him to come out of his room a few minutes after laying down. So I heard him upstairs rambling around so I went upstairs after about 15 minutes and found him passed out on the futon. Unfortunately, he is still waking up during the night for who knows what which means Jason and I get up with him. He got to where he was waking up 1 time a night but the past few nights is has been 2-3 times a night. We tried benadryl last night in which made no difference, so not quite sure what else to do. Hopefully next weekend we will be attempting a potty traning weekend session and taking away that silly pacifier. So if you think about it, please say a prayer for us!!

Key West
Sorry it has been a while since I have last blogged...it has been a busy past few weeks. A little over 2 weeks ago we lost our Aunt Lyndia, my mom's sister. Caelum and I were able to fly back to Georgia/South Carolina to visit our family during that time. It was good to see everyone but so sad it has to be a funeral to bring us all together.
After getting home from Georgia, Jason and I flew out the next day for Key West for a week. If you have never been, it is definitely a place you want to go. It is very beautiful there and very relaxing. Our parents split the week and kept the boys for us. So it was nice to get away just the two of us...it has been over 2 years since Jason and I have went on a vacation. I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but we had a wonderful time. We did a snorkeling/sunset trip and did a jetski tour of the island. For the snorkeling trip we went just 7 miles out to the reef and did some snorkeling and then crossed over to another reef close by then headed in just as the sun was going down. Unfortunately that was the one evening it was a bit cloudy, so we did not see the full sunset, but it was still really pretty. Like Jason, said it never gets old looking at such a pretty beach!
But a HUGE THANKS to our parents for watching the boys and letting us go to the Keys!!

Caelum is 5 Months Old
Caelum turned 5 months old the day before we left for Key West, but we were able to get his 5 month chair picture before we headed out. He is doing great and a happy little guy that will talk and smile your ear off!! He has finally gotten down the eating cereal and baby food thing just this last week. We have been trying it for several weeks and he would just turn his head or purse his lips together and not eat. But if you put a bottle or he sees a bottle near him he goes crazy for it. But he is now eating cereal and fruit in the morning and then for lunch and dinner he eats a veggie and a fruit and of course his bottle. Caelum is plumping right on up now!! He is still sleeping through the night from 8pm until around 530am. He loves all his teachers and Kerrick's teachers at school as they are always spoiling him. He has got the rolling over thing down now! He loves to pull at his feet and play with them. And has now developed a lovely fake cough that he thinks is just too funny!! He loves to watch Kerrick's every move and watch tv with him. Caelum grabs at everything now (including glasses on your face!) He is always grabbing his feet. He will grab at Kerrick and has gotten his hair a few times and Kerrick laughs at Caelum when he does it.
Caelum is such joy to us all and have enjoyed these first 5 months with him!
More blogging and lots more pictures to come later this week....
