Back to School

Monday was the Big Back to school day!!!  Kerrick headed to 1st grade and Caelum to Pre-K (although he transitioned back in June - we treated like his first day!!)  Kerrick has been the least bit excited about going back to school but I think it is due to having so much fun at daycare all summer.  They were always going somewhere and doing something fun.  Also, he is the only one from his daycare that goes to his school so he is missing his daycare buddies!

The Back School fairy came back today with some new undies, socks, snacks and a book!!

 I had to post this one as it makes me laugh as this was the atmosphere...Caelum was excited for Kerrick and Kerrick was just not thrilled!!  LOL  (Excuse my unfinished crate!!)

 We started last year getting ice cream after their first day of school.....

They both had a wonderful first day.  Kerrick was all smiles when I picked him up at school.  We went to get Caelum afterwards and you would have thought they had not seen each other in forever as they were hugging and being sweet brothers for a change!!

Summer Happenings!!

Well since it has been a while.....just wanted to put up just a glimpse of our summer with pictures.  The boys have had a wonderful summer and will definitely be hard getting back into the school routine with homework as they have done nothing but have fun all summer with no homework.  Sorry as the pictures will not be in chronological order.

In Mid July, we got to make a really quick trip down to Destin and met up Brad, Kelly, Katelyn, Kara and Krista.  We all had a wonderful trip but would have been better if it was a tad bit longer.  Here are a few pictures from our "photo shoot" we did!!

The next 2 pictures are from the old gang reunion we had earlier in August.  Our sweet friend Lauren, has been fighting Cancer and is now impacting her day to day living.  It is their 20 year Class Reunion year, so we all decided to get together and bring the reunion to her.  WOW, what an amazing day it was.  One of her dreams was for all our children to play together one day...and that they did.  The kiddos are almost outnumbering the gang!!!  It was such a sweet time...we will have to make it a weekend long reunion next time though!

Teddy came up on the 4th of July weeekdn to help Jason work on his bike and this was the morning he was heading back to GA.

Here are the boys the morning before we started our trek down to Destin.  The first day we just went to GA and spend the night at Teddy and Gramm's.  The boys both had to wear their bathing suits in the car because "Teddy said next time we come we have to wear our bathing suits!"  So that they did.  Guess they have to get a swimming pool now at their new house.

Jason and Brad took their kayaks to Destin, and here is a few pics of the one and only time they were able to get them out...of course the kids had to catch a ride.

Everyone sacked out before dinner and the Mardi Gras parade....it is always a tough life at the beach.

Caelum rides Kerrick's bike mostly....aka his Momo (aka Motorcyle)  It is only 90 + degrees outside but you have to wear boots, jeans, gloves and cool sunglasses to ride your Momo...that is what Dada does!!  One cool dude!!

This rarely happens, the 2 of them laying beside each other not fighting....so it is definitely picture worthy!!  And sweet !!!

The boys school had a family night at Bubba's to raise money for the school.  So here they are with their face painted all up.  K is a lion and C a rabbit!!!

It is tough being a 6year old with no naps any more and a full day of fun at school followed by an evening hanging out!!

Of course after the old Gang reunion we had to stop by mall of Georgia...the kids wanted their picture taken with the horses!!

And you can never pass up a piece of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.

The kids were all asleep in their seats and us adults were chowing down on our cheesecakes!!!

 Getting their Birthday wishlist started!!!!

 We took a daytrip to Topsail a few weeks back and here are a few pictures of the boys...they had a blast collecting seashells and playing in the waves!!

We hope you all have had a wonderful Summer with lots of  memories!!  Kerrick starts 1st Grade on 29 August....I can't believe it!!  We have definitely had a wonderful summer!!!
