Lil Munchking #2 Update

Yesterday I had the BIG ultrasound and doctors appointment. We are still keeping the sex of the baby a secret from us and of course everyone else!

All went ok at the doctors appt...but we got 3 pictures to bring home. There is a fourth one sealed in an envelope that reveals the sex of the baby. And no I have not peeked at it. I did scan it in, but it is not uploading on here. I will try it once we get to Augusta on my dad's computer - still trying to figure this one out. I thought the doctor was going to have to spill the beans as there is a slight "problem" with the baby. Looks like they have hydronephrosis. I knew what it was but of course wanted to look more into it. The little bit I have read, it is pretty common diagnosis for fetuses and 50% of those diagnosed before delivery end up having a true problem after being born. I am not too concerned about it though. So basically she said we will have to wait until the baby is a bit more older and do another sonogram...so about 24 or 26 weeks. I am currently 18 weeks. And I am ok with another ultrasound, it will let us see the lil munchkin again!!!

And call me crazy and maybe all ultrasound pictures look the same....but looks like this kiddo has the same profile as Kerrick??

TSgt Wells

WOOHOOO!!! Jason made Technical Sergeant today. I know he is ecstatic and glad to finally find out the results after waiting several months!!! He is doing great still on this deployment and staying very busy with work and school. He is taking a math class and doing really well thus far. Aced both his first quiz and test!!! It is a fast paced class as it is all crammed into 6 weeks and he goes every day for 1.5 hours.
But I am very proud of you J as you sure deserve this promotion as you work so hard everyday and studied like crazy just for the test portion!!

Happy Father's Day!!

First, Happy Father's Day to our dads. We hope you 2 have a wonderful day and know that you are thought of and celebrated today!! Thank you for being great examples to Jason and I as we are trying to figure out this thing called parenthood!!
Here is a tribute to you Dad....click HERE!! (I must say I am glad you have never rocked the sandals and socks!! LOL!!)

And a very Happy Father's Day to Jason!! What an amazing Dad you are to our lil man Kerrick! He definitely is a Daddy's boy and already looks up to you. We love and miss you LOTS and can not wait for you to come home!!
Here is a poem Kerrick did as part of his present for you...

Walk A Little Slower
Walk a little slower, Daddy,
Said a little child so small.
I'm following in your footsteps
And I don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they are hard to see;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.

Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you.

Kerrick and I went to the playground on Lackland this morning. I took a few videos although I might need to go to videographer school as I kept cutting his head off, but it was a bit bright out and hard to see the screen! Click HERE to see a video of him swinging. Click HERE to watch him driving. And click HERE to watch him slide by himself! And then click HERE to see a couple more pictures of Kerrick from the playground.

Surprise!!!

This is what I was surprised with at work today....and of course they are from Jason!! Definitely put a HUGE smile on my face!!! This picture does not do them justice....very BEAUTIFUL!! And just waiting on a few more blooms to pop open! Love all the colors!!! Thanks Babe!!

Happy Anniversary!!

Today is our 10 year Wedding Anniversary!! Where has the time gone?! Happy Anniversary to my Homie! The Lord sure could not have blessed me more than with you. As you said, I can not imagine being with anyone else. So many memories in the last 10 years that have flown by and many more memories to make! Thanks for being a wonderful husband and now Dad to our kiddos!!
*Sadly I do not have any photos of us together on our new computer and not quite sure how to get them off the external hard drive. But give us 4 months and we will have plenty!!
Jason is doing well. He started his math class this week and has his first quiz today. The class is every day for 6 weeks, so it will be a very fast pace class, but he will do well!! Other than getting a little fishing in on his days off, not too much else is new or at least he can tell me about.

Officially a Wiggle Worm

Kerrick had his first full day as a Wiggle Worm in his new class. He cried and grabbed my shirt when we first went in, but not for long. He knows his teachers already, but still just something new and in a new room. His days are becoming busier. He gets to go outside 2 times a day. He gets to sit at a table and eat like a Big Boy. He sleeps on a cot and not in a crib and has been doing great (the first time, took some teaching but they said he has it mastered now.) They have circle time in which they sit in a circle and sing songs and they said he sits down and sings along. So sad he is growing up WAY to fast!! This Friday is water day to celebrate the start of summer...so he gets to bring his bathing suit to school and play in some water, with water balloons and eat ice pops!!
Here is a pic of him this morning before we left for school....he has not quite grasped the concept that Big Boys don't have pacifiers! Oh Well - slowly working on that!

Family Reunion

This past weekend Kerrick and I headed to Marble Falls for Jason's Family Reunion. You can click HERE to see some pictures. We had a very nice time and Kerrick did really well. We stayed the night with Jason's parents and headed back early afternoon on Sunday! Needless to say Kerrick was pooped. He slept the whole way back (1.75 hours) and then I put him in his bed once we got home and he slept a little more than an hour there.

Wiggle Worm

So Kerrick will be an official wiggle worm next week. He is graduating from the butterfly class and moving up with the bigger boys and girls :( It is definitely bittersweet as we love his teachers dearly in the Butterflies and they love him - one of them, Ms. Gloria, cried today when he went over to his new class for the afternoon and so did Kerrick! It will be better for him, but we will miss Ms. Gloria, Ms. Tiffany and Ms. Amanda! Ms. Gloria said she watched him from the window yesterday like Mother Hen when he went over there for the first time. She said he first just hung out by the fence by himself but then went on with the other kids and started playing.
He did have an exciting week in the butterflies with his latest girl, Sophia. On Tuesday they said he was "flirting" with her all day and showing off his dance moves while she was laughing hard (she was just jealous of his mad moves he has!) But the next day they were fighting - like Daddy says, girls can never figure out if they like or hate you as our precious boy could not be the problem :) On Thursday when he went for his first half a day to the wiggle worms his ol pal Bella sure was happy to see a familiar face - as she just transitioned over there a week ago.
But they said he did good today and he was playing hard when I got there. Ms. Tiffany went over there during the afternoon and once he saw her he darted out the room and headed back to the butterflies but was brought back to the wiggle worms and pitched a fit, but soon got over it and went back to playing.
Kerrick and I will be heading to Jason's familys reunion tomorrow, so hopefully I can post some pictures on Sunday afternoon when we get back. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

A Morning in the Park

Kerrick and I headed to base this morning to go to the covered playground. He had fun playing in the pebbles. And just laughed while he was swinging. Then we went over so he can take a little Sunday Drive. One of the pictures shows him waving to the cars that were passing by outside the playground. I think he was hoping he was driving to see Daddy, because the whole time he was driving he would say, DaDa. Too cute. Here are a few pics from this morning. And you can click HERE to see a few more. Kerrick even is learning how to spell...that one is for you Teddy.
There are a couple pictures before we went to church last night too.
We hope you all are having a good weekend.

Oreo Time

I forgot to post this on here last week...but here is a pic that one of Kerrick's teachers Ms. Amanda sent to me. Needless to say....the boy loves him some oreos like his daddy!!
He has also been quite the artist at school, but I will try to post pics of his artwork later, as I am having difficulty putting it on the blog??

Update on Lil Munchkin #2

Lil Munchkin #2 is doing good and heart is beating a strong 150 bpm. I am fat as ever and was told not to come in the office gaining 4 pounds between visits next time. I knew it, just needed her to tell me. So I need to start doing my pregnancy aerobics video like the class I went to in VA. I am to do the sonogram appt in 3 weeks and see the doctor in 4 weeks but we will be in GA....so I am going to the appointments right before we leave. I go on June 23 for the sonogram and to see the doctor. Although we are not planning on finding out the sex of the baby this time, the sonogram is still necessary to make sure he/she organs are functioning correctly and everything is measuring good. So we will have pictures to share on the next post of Munchkin #2.
