The Latest on Kerrick...

It has been a BIG week for Kerrick! He is officially a Lady Bug as of yesterday. He has moved up from the Wiggle Worm class to the Lady Bug class. He has been transitioning all week into the class - meaning he goes to that class a few hours a day and they said he has fit right in and is glad to be with some of his buddies who moved up a few months ago. There is 3 of them that always hang out - Kerrick, Parker and Owen. It is always bittersweet to see him move up...sad to leave his teachers and knowing he is growing up way to fast, yet excited for him as he is learning and changing literally everyday. Jason and I were saying earlier this week that it was like overnight that he has started speaking in sentences now. We have been so blessed as he has had such wonderful teachers at his school and I am thankful even though he is moving up we still get to see them everyday and hopefully they will stay there so Caelum will get each of them.
But the BIG announcement for the week is that Kerrick used the potty yesterday at school for the first time!!! In the Lady Bug room they have an actual bathroom and will help us with the potty training. We sit him on the potty at home a lot but he has yet to go, as I think he thinks it is a game....so I am sure he sees all the other kids going that it helped him. He did not go any while at home last night, but hopefully this weekend we can work on it more. So we shall see what his report is when he gets home!
And Thankfully he slept all night last night. I think we have created a habit in which he has been waking up 1-2 times a night for a few weeks now....and to be honest it is quite aggravating as Caelum is waking up only one time a night in which makes it so nice and Jason and I could swap nights getting up but with Kerrick waking up we are both up several times each night which makes for some long days the next day. So hopefully Kerrick will keep this up!! It is hard to let him cry it out because he will then wake up Caelum but this weekend, we may just have to do that should he wake up.
