Baby Shower #1 Pics
Click here to see the pics from the shower. I have not had time to weed out any of the "bad" pics...so please excuse those, as I am in a rush to at least get them up for all to see who could not make it. Also, some people are missing in the pictures that actually came to the shower...we were a bit late in pulling out the cameras :(
A HUGE THANKS again to Mrs. Farrow for throwing us this shower.

Shower #1

We made it to GA/SC and back safely...we left VA with a pretty empty truck and came home with it full of blessings! We left last Thursday night and were able to stay through Monday. It was definitely a fun filled weekend. Friday, Jason, mom and I went to the baby stores there to see what they had and to tweak and make a new registry and then of course had to visit Hobby Lobby in which we found some decor for the nursery. Then that night, Jason played in a softball tournie with Chris until 1am...needless to say, dad, mom, Erin and I left about 10 as it was freezing cold outside. Then Saturday, Teresa Farrow, our families dear friend, hosted a fabulous shower for us. It was wonderful to see so many friends that I had not seen since our wedding. And we were definitely blessed with soooo many things for the baby! Then Sunday we went to church with the family and then were able to meet up with some friends of ours that we all went to church together when J and I were dating - although I was a bit bummed I forgot my camera :( But hopefully at Thanksgiving we can all get together then and give some others a bit more notice so they can come too. Then that evening we had an early celebration of J's birthday and Nanny and Ed and Dee were able to come over to help celebrate. So we had a wonderful trip and as always so hard to come home. We got home around 6ish and had to unload the truck with the help of Jason's supervisor who lives down the street from us. My parents and Nanny gave us a crib, dresser and hutch...WOOHOO! Jason will start the painting soon and so there will of course be pictures to come with the progress of the nursery.
Here is a pic of mom and I at the shower...more to come after I have time to sit down and put them on the site...hopefully tomorrow I will be able to do so!

The Letter
This is and excerpt from my devotional this morning.....
2 Corinthians 3
1 Are we beginning to praise ourselves again? Are we like others, who need to bring you letters of recommendation, or who ask you to write such letters on their behalf? Surely not! 2 The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our[a] hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. 3 Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.
4 We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. 5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 6 He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.
We have been chosen to carry the message of hope from the moment we received Christ, we became one of his "greeting cards," bringing good news. God cares enough to send the very best. Where is he "mailing you" today?

Spoiled Rotten
Yes, I truly am spoiled rotten by the greatest husband ever. So I dedicate this blog to my homie, J!! Most nights out of the week I come home to dinner being finished or almost about to hit the table. He gets home about 1-1.5 hours before I do, so usually he has dinner started or almost finished by the time I get home. And some weeks he will have the grass cut and edged during the week in that that is one less chore we have to do on the weekend! Not to mention that we usually share the chores and do it all as a team (to include vacuuming and lovely laundry!!) Can't say I know too many husbands who share in all the chores. There is no man's job or woman's job in our house...we both do them all - mow the grass, wash the cars, clean the house, cook, etc!!! And he has been like this all the time, it did not start once I got pregnant - it just has continued!! So THANKS Bud for being a wonderful husband!!
I added a pic of my HUGE belly on here..people have been asking to see it, so here it is! We went to the fall festival here today, so I look a bit rough and excuse my expression on my face!! LOL
