Kerrick is already 10 weeks old - whew the time has flown by. He is a few weeks late due to not being able to get an appointment, but nevertheless he had his 2 month appointment today. I must admit I was a nervous wreck for the immunization portion. I was getting nervous yesterday and one of my coworkers said, just keep telling yourself he needs these and he will be fine - I knew this, it is just hard when he cries and he looks at you and you can not do anything more. But all went well and he is right on target with everything - holding his head, following your movements, smiling, cooing, laying on his tummy with his head up, etc. His cradle cap is now everywhere and his precious face is broke out along with spots on his arms...so we just have to keep lathering him in vaseline and use baby oil or olive oil on his head. It does not bother him, but just looks painful.
His stats are: 11pounds 10 ounces, 23.5 inches long!!
Kerrick had to get 5 shots today but only 3 sticks because some of the immunizations were combos - Thanks goodness! But he did great and only cried for a bit. Unfortunately he had to go to Kim, his sitters, afterwards. So I called her later this afternoon and she said he was a bit fussy but gave him some Tylenol I had for him and he was sleeping when I called. I had a dentist appointment after work so I did not get home until 730 in which J said Kerrick had been crying for 30 minutes straight and nothing would soothe him - so needless to say the soreness/shots have taken effect. So hopefully he will be exhausted from the crying and sleep well tonight? But we will see.
But not only is Kerrick grumpy and not feeling well, neither is Jason. He is in this combat class and is getting a bit banged up with bruises, "worn off" skin, possible broken bone in hand? and just all out sore. So needless to say my boys are in shambles tonight.
In other news...long story short, we found out by "happen chance" that the house we are renting is in foreclosure and was to go to auction today. We actually found out less than 2 weeks ago about it all - lovely, right?! But supposedly it is all clear and did not go to auction today - so it seems we might be staying in this house???
We hope you all are having a good week?!
The first pic is before we headed to the doctors. The second pic is Kerrick at the end of the day with his tweety bandaids still on.
