2Month WCC

Kerrick is already 10 weeks old - whew the time has flown by. He is a few weeks late due to not being able to get an appointment, but nevertheless he had his 2 month appointment today. I must admit I was a nervous wreck for the immunization portion. I was getting nervous yesterday and one of my coworkers said, just keep telling yourself he needs these and he will be fine - I knew this, it is just hard when he cries and he looks at you and you can not do anything more. But all went well and he is right on target with everything - holding his head, following your movements, smiling, cooing, laying on his tummy with his head up, etc. His cradle cap is now everywhere and his precious face is broke out along with spots on his arms...so we just have to keep lathering him in vaseline and use baby oil or olive oil on his head. It does not bother him, but just looks painful.
His stats are: 11pounds 10 ounces, 23.5 inches long!!
Kerrick had to get 5 shots today but only 3 sticks because some of the immunizations were combos - Thanks goodness! But he did great and only cried for a bit. Unfortunately he had to go to Kim, his sitters, afterwards. So I called her later this afternoon and she said he was a bit fussy but gave him some Tylenol I had for him and he was sleeping when I called. I had a dentist appointment after work so I did not get home until 730 in which J said Kerrick had been crying for 30 minutes straight and nothing would soothe him - so needless to say the soreness/shots have taken effect. So hopefully he will be exhausted from the crying and sleep well tonight? But we will see.
But not only is Kerrick grumpy and not feeling well, neither is Jason. He is in this combat class and is getting a bit banged up with bruises, "worn off" skin, possible broken bone in hand? and just all out sore. So needless to say my boys are in shambles tonight.
In other news...long story short, we found out by "happen chance" that the house we are renting is in foreclosure and was to go to auction today. We actually found out less than 2 weeks ago about it all - lovely, right?! But supposedly it is all clear and did not go to auction today - so it seems we might be staying in this house???
We hope you all are having a good week?!

The first pic is before we headed to the doctors. The second pic is Kerrick at the end of the day with his tweety bandaids still on.

Back to work!!

Back to reality we go...we had Gimma here all last week and what a wonderful time we had and we were so thankful she was able to come out and visit the whole week with us. I started back to work last Wednesday and Karen kept Kerrick while Jason and I were at work. It was a great transition for me and having her here watching Kerrick helped make it much easier. Today Kerrick went to our friend, Kim's, house. She will be watching him until he can get onto one of the bases day cares. We are so blessed to have Kim watch him!
Here are a few pics from this past week with Gimma!
We hope you all have a wonderful week!

Here are a few pics from Gramm's visit last week...I will post some later on this week of Gimma and Kerrick too!
I am officially back at work now too - thankfully work is busy, so it keeps my mind preoccupied while away from Kerick. Karen has been here all week and has been a tremendous help and has been watching Kerrick since I went back to work so that of course helps with leaving him too.
Soooo...more pics to come next time.

2 months old!!

Kerrick is 2 months old today - my how the time has flown by. Gramm's left this morning and made it back to SC already while Gimma made it in safely last night and will be here until next weekend! So there will be pictures to come later of Kerrick and his grandma's!!

All Smiles...

Kerrick has become a smiling little boy!! He started showing his gums a little over a week ago. Here is a pic of a half a smile - he seems to become camera shy once you bring it out to try to capture the adorable toothless grin :)

Big Boy!!

We went up to my work this morning to pick up a few things and of course had to weight Kerrick. He is now 9 lbs and 13oz (with his clothes on but a dry diaper) and was 22.5 inches long.
Gramm's came in last night to spend the weekend and Gimma will be here Saturday night and will get to stay a week with us. So we are excited the grandma's get to come and spend some one on one time with Kerrick!!

Love My Daddy

Kerrick loves to hear his daddy whistle. He will stop what he is doing and open his eyes wide and stare at Jason. Too Funny!

A Few More Pictures

I finally downloaded our pics off our camera from last week...so here are a few more pics of Kerrick and his cousins, Katelyn and Kara!

Family Fun!

Kerrick got to meet his 2 cousins, Katelyn and Kara along with Uncle Brad and Auntie Kelly. They flew out here on Tuesday and left today. We all had a great time and so thankful they were able to come out. Katelyn and Kara were SO sweet with Kerrick and would just love and hug on him all the time. Katelyn did a great job of "babysitting" Kerrick and Kara loved to feed him and change his "poopy" diapers. They were great with sharing him and holding him. It was great to all get to hang out...we were able to do quite a few things while they were here. We went to VA beach (no swimming of course), the VA aquarium, Williamsburg, and then Kelly, Katelyn and I had a girls morning and went and painted pottery. We had a wonderful time with them and we will miss them. Kerrick will truly miss them...when he was awake he would watch the girls and follow them around the room.
