Here is Kerrick's signature and title should he ever need one at the age of one!! Kerrick Rhys Wells, LLM. LLM stands for Lil Ladies Man....yes he already has a lil girlfriend. She comes over to visit him from the next class and has been there the past 2 mornings visiting. Yesterday she gave him a ball and this morning she greeted him with a huge smile and wanted to stay and play. Her teacher said she asked about him everyday last week as to where he was because he was not in school all last week! I had to laugh this morning....she likes him boogie nose and all! Too Funny!!

Another Addition....

So we thought we were going to be owners of another ferret....but thankfully found the owner. A few weeks ago (I am way behind in post) a ferret came scurrying in our garage while J was washing his truck and Kerrick and I were out for a walk. We knew it was somebody's pet because he/she was very friendly and of course crawled right into Jason's boots (that is what Jewels - our ferret - loved to do!) Kerrick loved watching this ferret scurry around and when Jason held it up to him although we did not put it in reaching distance just in case! Long story and long evening short, it was our neighbors ferret and this is not the first time it has escaped.

Happy Birthday to Mom aka Gramm's!! Sorry I am late posting it on here....but sure glad we all got to celebrate your birthday together!! We hope this year is the best yet to come!

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Happy 1st Birthday to our lil buddy, Kerrick. He turned 1 on Monday, 17 January. It truly is unbelievable that he is 1 already....this year has flown by. We are blessed to be your parents and enjoy every minute with you! We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for your life and pray that we are the parents the Lord has called us to be and guide you the way He wants you to go!!
For Kerrick's first birthday, he had a Mickey Mouse birthday party - Thanks to Mrs. Kim who introduced Kerrick to Mickey Mouse and he still loves him!! Kerrick had lots of family and friends come out this past Saturday for a wonderful celebration of his first year!! We will have pics to come later this week - we still have a house full of family in town and enjoying getting to hang out with them all.
He went to the doctor today for his 1 year check-up and here are his stats...
Weight - 23 lbs 12 oz (78th percentile)
Height - 30 inches (40th percentile)
Head 47.75 cm (997th percentile)
Long story short...but no shots today, hopefully tomorrow or Friday.
So he is a healthy boy, just a walking up a storm!!

School Days

A BIG week for Kerrick this past week. We cheated and turned his carseat around 2 weeks early and heloves to ride facing forward!! Also, this was Kerrick's first week at school full-time. It was a rough start but ended the week great. Tuesday was his first full day and they said he cried on and off all day and when he saw me when I went to pick him up he cried. Then Wednesday they said he did a bit better and by Thursday he was getting the hang of it. Needless to say by the time we get home in the evenings he is exhausted as he has not been taking long naps at school right now. On top of going to daycare he has been sick a bit too since Christmas and it is still lingering some but not nearly as bad as he was last week. Tuesday night he started vomitting right at bathtime and just did it that once, then again on Wednesday night and then Friday night. Thankfully he was undressed in the bathroom each time. Jason and I woke up at 8 this morning and Kerrick was still sleeping and had not made a peep all night, so we thought...when he did wake up at 9 Jason went in his room to find vomit all in his bed, we have no idea how much he had vomitted during the night as his bed was full of dry vomit and it was all on his jammies and in his hair. We felt sooo bad as who knows when he did it because we did not hear him at all last night.
So with being sick and starting school he has been hooked on his pacifier. I was hoping to start making his time with his paci more limited once he got the hang on school but thankfully his teachers at school started taking it away on Thursday! YAY!! And yesterday when I went to pick him up he had gone paci free all day not to mention all night too!! So hopefully we will keep this up and he will never notice his paci is gone!
His teachers said he had a GREAT day yesterday and is now known as the food thief. We all know the boy loves to eat! Well they said he would have ate already and then some of the other kids would be eating their snacks and Kerrick would walk over to their chair grab some food and then run off! Too Funny!! And they quickly found out the boy loves to dance as he was dancing for them. And he has learned to clap with his hands open, so he likes to clap and then expect you to clap back with him!

Happy New Year!!

Well, I am already off to a bad start in the New Year with the blog....but here are a few Christmas pics finally!! We went to Jason's grandparents for Christmas. We had "Christmas morning" on the eve of Christmas Eve with Teddy, Gramm's, Uncle Chris and Angela on skype that night then woke up Christmas Eve morning with Santa coming a day early. Then eventually headed to Jason's grandparents for the rest of the weekend. Kerrick had a fun time despite not knowing what all was going on. And then New Years Eve we went to hear one of Jason's cousins, Lindsay sing in Austin and hang out with the family there. We got back about 1:30 Saturday morning, but had a great time! Thankfully we are both off Monday, so the extra day off is much needed after a late night Friday night.
