Sick Day = "Gourmet Breakfast"
If you are sick here in this Wells house you can eat like a king for breakfast...pancakes and eggs instead of cereal is considered gourmet here! :) And Kerrick ate every single bite as I am sure he was starving as he did not want dinner last night!
We are home again today for another sick day! Friday I was called to come get him from school as he had whelps on his left side of his face but of course they were gone by the time I got to him. Ms. Gloria, one of his teachers, said she thinks it was his usual splotches he gets when he gets upset but the school director thinks it was a reaction. When Ms. Gloria walks out of the room, Kerrick pitches a fit until she gets back and this is when the whelps came out. So who knows?! Saturday Kerrick was fine and we were able to hang out with our good friends all day! Kerrick played hard and had lots of fun! Then Sunday Big Daddy and Gimma came out for a visit and we all went to church and lunch and then came back to our house where Kerrick played for a little bit then took a long nap only to wake up drenched in sweat. Monday, J and I were both off, so we took Kerrick to school for a couple of hours so we can get our taxes done and a few errands run before we picked him up. The school had called while I was on my way to get him and he had a low grade fever again. So I picked him up and we tried to take him to be seen, but the wait was way too long. Kerrick had to stay home yesterday due to the 24 hour afebrile rule at his school, so I was able to get him an appointment last night in which we left knowing he has a developing ear infection and conjuctivitis. And we are home again today due to the fact he has have 24 hours of antibiotics for conjunctivitis in him before he can go back to school. He seems to be feeling a bit better but not digging all the medicine he has to take. Here are a few pics of Kerrick eating his "gourmet" breakfast!!

Another BAD Sick Day...
Well Thankfully Kerrick was well and he went to school this morning, but now ol Bessie is really sick. On my way to work this morning, somebody hit me....long story short, thankfully it was her fault and no one was hurt. And of course it happens 1 month after we have paid the car off. And Praise the Lord Kerrick was already at school. Here are some pics of the damage....now the long drawn out process of battling with her insurance has begun.

Sick Day
This one he is leaving his poop station...
Kerrick and I are home for a sick day for him. After battling high temps since Friday and getting called by his daycare yesterday we took him into the ER yesterday we had no openings at his doctors office. And of course he acts all fine and normal in the ER, but after a chest xray and an exam, all is fine and just a virus he has to burn off. He has not had a fever since we went to the ER, Praise the Lord so we should be back to school and work tomorrow. Here are a few pics from his sick day today....he loves his Montel (Thanks to Gramm's he walks around with him all the time patting his back and giving him kisses - too Funny!!)
Such a Small World
Yes it seems at times that we do live in such a small world. Yesterday I "2fer" aka 2 patients of the same family to check-in. Their mom and dad were with them and when I saw their mom, I thought, man she looks awfully familiar!! After thinking for a few seconds as to whether I know her from moving with the Air Force or was it from the glory ol school days. So I soon realized that we went to high school together and asked her and sure enough it was Sarah from high school. How crazy is that?!! To live in another state and to meet again on a military installation. Just thought I would share that, as I was so shocked and surprised and elated to see someone I knew!! So of course we exchanged numbers and will hopefully get to get together soon!!

TGIF
Phew...what a week it has been here!! It started on Tuesday with Kerrick getting his shots. Then that evening we get home from work/school and Jason tells us that he had to meet with his Captain at lunch. It was not quite what he wanted for lunch as he found out he will be deploying very soon. We were both shocked as he accepted this job here thinking it is a special duty and he would not have to deploy only to get assigned 6 months after arriving....if we would have known that we would have second guessed coming out here and just stayed in Virginia. But oh well, it is what it is and we will move on and get through it like we have the other deployments!
Then on Wednesday Kerrick's school and a lot of San Antonio, lose power due to blackouts the power company was doing to help conserve energy with everyone running their heaters with this unusally cold weather. So long story short, J had to get out of class as they were unable to reach me, go get Kerrick and come home to a cold house as our power was out at home for a while as well. He and Kerrick then decided to head to Austin in which they went to Brad and Kelly's house for the rest of the day so Jason could finish his 50 minute presentation that was due on Thursday. Mind you - he only had Wednesday to prepare the speech and practice it - CRAZINESS!! So thankfully one of his classmates was nice and took Jason's spot for speaking yesterday and he was to go first this morning. Well, we woke up to a dusting of snow and everyone is on late reporting or until further notice. I know Jason just wants to get there and get the speech over with...so we shall see what the rest of the day brings. But for now, I am enjoying the extra time to get a few things done around the house so we can hang out over the weekend!!
Hope you all have a good weekend thanks for reading my venting blog. We will keep you posted on J's deployment and such as we find out more information. He has one more week of this class he is in and then will head back to his job and will find out more info at that time!!

SHOTS!!
The five letter dirty word to a kid....I took Kerrick today to get his 1 year shots and to his Derm appointment . He got 5 shots today:( I knew there was 5, but I thought it would only be 2-3 pokes as I thought they were going to combine some....but of course they did not. He was a BIG trooper and just cried during the pokes and kicked while the bandaids were being applied, but quickly quit crying after I pulled his pants up. I know tonight will be the story when he wakes up from his nap to some sore legs to play. As far as Derm they are saying that it is eczema on his face...so hopefully we do without the steroid and just use his lotion and desitin on that spot at night. Of course when we take him today, the area looks good. So we shall see if it stays that way!
And I hate not always having pictures for the blogs....so here is some from Sunday as we were in the yard soaking up some rays before this "blizzard" hit here today!!
