Caelum is 11 months old!!

Caelum turned 11 months old last week and of course I am slow at getting the post up.  But the day he turned 11 months old, I guess he thought he was big stuff as he finally had his first tooth to come through AND he started taking steps.  Within the next day his 2nd tooth broke all the way through as well and he was taking even more steps.  He has not mastered walking completely but is getting there and hopefully will be by his 1st birthday.  Caelum and Kerrick are starting to become "buds" (using that term loosely!!)  But they are playing a little more together without Caelum just screaming when Kerrick comes near him.  Kerrick can play a little rough at times with him and thankfully Caelum just laughs.   And if Kerrick is running by Caelum, he will just laugh and get all jumpy as he thinks Kerrick is coming after him!  But he is doing well despite a cold or allergies he is suffering right now which of course means waking up in the middle of the night again.  So hopefully this will pass soon and get back to sleeping all night!

BIG Day for the Fam!!

Today is a BIG day for the Wells household.  First of all, 1 year ago today Myself, Kerrick and Caelum in the oven and Jason's family were at the airport welcoming him back from another deployment.  Then had a cookout with a surprise visit from my parents to welcome him home as well.  The year has gone so quickly and many memories have been made just in this past year. 
This morning, I got to go support Jason as he re-enlisted for 6 more years with the Air Force!!  The past 12 years has flown by as well and we have been blessed more than we can imagine.   As we were talking this morning, the Air Force has been pretty good to us (well Jason) and thankfully there have been more positives than negatives.  So now we shall wait and see where the Lord has us to go in 2 years!

Pumpkin Patch

Today I took the boys to a Pumpkin Patch which was at a Christmas Tree Farm.  It was small but fun!!  Kerrick got to race the rubber duckies, jump in the hay, ride the train and paint his own pumpkin.  They also had a hayride on a open sided trailer, but thought I better save that for when I am not going alone - as I did not want to lose one of the boys off the side of the trailer.  Caelum got to crawl around a bit and play with the pumpkins!  Here are the pictures from today!!

No AC + A Lotta Diapers = Crazy Fun!

We finally got the AC fixed this past Monday after being without it for almost a week.    One night Kerrick got Caelum's basket of diapers out and they went crazy with them.

A Post for our BIG Boy Kerrick

I had a long weekend this past weekend so I finally decided to take the plunge and attempt some  Potty Training 101 with Kerrick.  Unfortunately Jason had to work this weekend so he missed out on all the "fun" on Saturday.  We started Saturday morning, in which by 1100 I was already ready to quit as we had been through 5 or 6 outfits already.  But I decided to press on and just wash a big load of laundry at the end of day.  At nap time, I decided to put a diaper on Kerrick just in case.  So after nap time, we put the big boy undies on and went back at it again.  So after nap, Caelum was awake and I told Kerrick to show Caelum how to use the potty and then he went.  So I went crazy and Caelum was clapping for his big brother and Kerrick was smiling ear to ear.  Mind you, I had bought prizes for him, printed out a potty chart and had stickers.....but all it took was to show little brother how to do it and it happened.  So from there on he has been using the big boy potty for #1.  He would wet his undies a tiny then realize he needed to go potty and would ask before I would even make him sit on the potty.  At naps and night time we are still putting him in a diaper.  We are not planning on using pull-ups as we do not want to confuse him.  Today I took him to school for a couple hours this morning and he used the big boy potty the whole time with no accidents.  I then picked up Kerrick to take him to lunch and a little shopping in which he was accident free the whole time!!   And now of course, I am like why did we not do this sooner (as I have said many times already in this thing called Parenthood!)  So hopefully he keeps up the good work and we will work on the nap and night time thing after he gets the awake time thing down.
And Yes I realize later on he will not like that I posted these pictures......oh well, too cute for now!!

Gramm's Visit

Well only a few weeks late on this....click HERE to see the pics from when Gramm's came for the week.  We had a wonderful time despite Caelum being sick the whole time and Gramm's cared for him and kept Kerrick entertained too.  We were able to hit up Sea World one day but our water park plans were cancelled due to the rain (never rains until we always plan a day at the waterpark!)  Oh well, we will get our fill at the Great Wolf in a few months!!  Thanks again Mom for coming to visit with all that was going on and you had a smile on your face the whole time!!
