Officially Big Dudes

This past weekend was another mile marker that the boys are growing up way to fast.  We had a long weekend, in which my goal was to get rid of Caelum's pacifier.  Kerrick was super easy as we just cut the tip off and he saw it for the first time, looked at Jason and then the pacifier again and said "broken!"  And that was the end of it. So with Kerrick and Caelum being so different, I was preparing myself for a long weekend, but he surprised me.  I did the same thing we did with Kerrick, cut the tip off the pacifier.  He looked at it, grabbed it, put it in his mouth and tried to suck on it but it only kept falling.  So Caelum and I both laughed, and he fiddled with it a bit more and that was it.  I kept it on his nightstand and same thing the next night, then I just threw it away without him seeing it and he has not asked for it or looked for it since.  Praise the Lord.
Kerrick decided this past weekend, he wanted to try to call me Mom instead of Mama, so I was jokingly ignoring him and he thought it was funny....thankfully that only last 1-2 days and Mama it still is.
They truly grow up way to fast and I am still learning I need to slow down and enjoy it while they are still so young...it is hard on some days being the "single" parent for these few month and to just letting everything go and just sit back and laugh with them instead of doing dishes or cleaning or whatever chore!  They are some funny little dudes and starting to enjoy being brothers and playing together!!

Airplanes and Fire Trucks

This weekend, our goal was to go on base for the open house at the fire department for fire prevention week.  On our way into base, Kerrick saw all the airplanes and wanted to see them.  So we went to visit the airplanes and then headed to the fire department.   All Kerrick kept saying, was I want to touch the airplanes...so he got to touch them.  After walking by 2 of them, he was ready to go to the fire department. They had all kinds of different fire trucks, cop cars, ambulances and lots of animals walking around (Cow from ChikFilA, a Panda Bear,Sparky the fire dog and McGruff.)  They were not too fond of the animals nor looking at the fire trucks.  But they wanted to jump in the bounce house, so needless to say it was a quick visit to the fire department.

Here is a picture of them for movie night tonight....they are not allowed to eat in the living room, so it was a treat to stay up late and eat popcorn on the couch!!

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went to a Pumpkin Patch in Medina.  They boys had a wonderful time.  They both got to paint pumpkins, run through the maze, drive some tractors and feed and pet some animals.  There are not too many pictures of Caelum as he did not want to get down much.  Kerrick surprised me and actually fed the animals.

The Boys are Back in Town!!

This past weekend the boys made it back from TG Camp!  They all had a wonderful time!  It is amazing what can happen in just 2 weeks...Caelum is saying some new stuff and they thought it was their birthday or Christmas with all of their toys they had not played within 2 weeks.  Too funny!  They definitely miss Teddy and Gramm's as they have been asking for them after school.  Kerrick was excited to go back to school but Caelum was not so much!  But their teachers were excited to see them again.
