Big Boy Beds

Well it has been 2 week now since we converted the boys beds to Big Boy Beds for them.  Kerrick now has a full size bed and Caelum is finally in a toddler bed.  We waited so long for Caelum as he was not trying to get out of his crib, so we kept him in it.  They were both soooo excited to get their Big Boy beds and love them.  They have both slept great in them.  Nap time was a little tricky last weekend as Caelum woke up before Kerrick and then went into Kerrick's room and woke him up.  Here are a few pictures from last weekend after we set their beds up!!  I will post more pictures of their rooms set up nicely...they are on Jason's phone and he is having a few issues with it.  And the playground pictures were from last weekend as we found a new spot that is close by to play at!!

And Jason and Brad were able to head out for a quick fishing trip and scored BIG with some ol Red Snapper, so we have been eating like royalty these last 2 weeks!!!
Here are a few pictures from their trip.

One year ago today we were being discharged from the hospital for Caelum's kidney surgery...it seems so long ago yet, seems like it was yesterday too!!    He has definitely been a trooper and strong little boy in just his first 2 years of life.  And I know we are given things to go through to help someone else when they are going through it.  And it proved so just this week at work as I had a patient who was 2 months old and who is having some urology "tubing" issues and will be undergoing surgery once she turns 3 months old.  It is totally a scary thing for any person to go through any sort of surgery and really scary when it is your own kid who is so young and seems so fragile (when they are actually so strong at such a young age!)  So thankfully I was able to use Caelum's experience to help another family of a young child to let them know it is oh so scary but it is will be oh so ok!! Thank you Jesus!!!

This was after surgery and recovery.
The day we got home from hospital.
The day after surgery with his cute little swollen face from being overloaded on fluids (even after I told the nurse I think he is getting to much fluids!  - Ha, but what do I know!)

Kerrick's 4yo Stats

And another late post...I am finally posting Kerricks stats from his 4 year well child appointment last month!!

Weight - 37.26 pounds (58%)
Height 39.76 inches (33%)

He did really well at the appointment.  He had to get his 4 year old shots which consisted of 3 pokes.  We told him ahead of time what all was going to happen at the doctor and told him he was getting a few pokes in his legs.  So when it came time for his pokes...aka, shots...he was ok until we laid him on the table.  Then they administered the shots and he just had his mouth open and I said breathe and let out a loud scream....all of my coworkers in the whole clinic heard him!!  Too funny!  After leaving, Jason took him to go get Caelum at school and Jason said he went around showing all his friends his pokes and bandaids.  His legs were a little sore and he woke up a few times during that night, but was fine the next day!! Poor big dude!!!

Here are some pictures from a new park we tried out yesterday....
