At the old age of 5, Kerrick is still having a lot of "Firsts!" This week was spring break, so at school, Kerrick got to hang out at the Varsity Club (aka the school age kids!) This summer he will get to hang with them as well since he will be going to Kindergarten. But this week he went on his very first Field Trip and got to ride in the bus for the very first time. He was SOOO excited and had so much fun. The first field trip was to a park and the second field trip was to the Transportation museum. He talked nonstop about all the fun he had. On his first day, we got home and he was bummed as Jason was not home yet. He said "I need Dada home now so I can tell him all about my field trip!" So of course that is the first thing he said to Jason when he got home. Then we had to countdown for 2 more days until the next trip.
Also, since he hangs out with the big kids they do not take naps any more, so he has been a bit tired in the evenings but of course does not stop him!!
Here is a picture of Kerrick after his first field trip....excuse the non matching clothes as a kid spit water on him at school and he had to change shirts!! The boys loves to "pose for pictures!"

St Patrick's Day
A Blog Catch up in one day....here is a picture of the boys and I on St. Patrick's Day! Their teachers thought it was cute and funny that we were all in green and so they had to take a picture of us....I mean it was St. Patrick's Day!! LOL.....Jason would have been in the pic too with his green but unfortunately was in class late! Sorry the pic is from my phone, so it is a bit blurry!
Easter 2015
WARNING....Picture overload!!!!!
We started celebrating Easter with some fun activities last weekend, as Jason is working this weekend...he will be home in time for Easter tomorrow but has been gone for the past few days!
I guess we are bad parents as this was the first year we "dyed" eggs with the boys. We actually did the whole Kool-Aid dye as I did not want to be smelling vinegar!! HA!! But the boys had fun!!
Also, last weekend, our neighborhood held their annual Easter Egg hunt. It was way cold/windy but a very nice setup. They provided a catered lunch, inflatables, fire truck and of course an Egg Hunt. They boys had fun while we froze!! I was a bit bummed they could not wear their "Easter Outfits!" Oh well, we will keep that for school pictures, as I think it will be too chilly to wear them tomorrow for Easter!
And these last few were from last night. I took the boys to the Hop in the Park in downtown Fayetteville area. A church we visited hosted this HUGE event. It was wonderful from tons of Huge inflatables, to free hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, and nachos. Unfortunately, it was just the boys and I so we only did 2 slides and ate only hotdogs. The lines were really long, but what a wonderful event this church does for the whole city and everything is absolutely free!!
Caelum was scared to go down this one, so the very nice man who worked this slide had to go up and get him!!!
Church "Shopping"
So I would venture to say the worst part of moving every few years...is trying to find a new church home! We love the change of us moving but finding a new church is one of the hardest parts. Thankfully this time around has paid off as we have acquired some nice "gifts" from the few churches we have visited. But in all seriousness, I think we may have found a church. We have only visited one time, but will be going back for more! It is a little drive, but not bad on a Sunday morning, but of course will be worth it as we are there to get fed the Word!! I personally miss Saturday night services as that is what we have become accustomed to over the last 7 years between our church in Texas and our church in Virginia. This church does offer a Thursday night service, but unfortunately we would be late to service as Jason and I both get off work at crazy times right now! So for now we will stick to Sunday morning services. Here is a pic of our new collection of "gifts!"
Park Days
We were able to take advantage of an 80 degree day on our day off to celebrate Good Friday! Unfortunately, Jason has been working all during our long weekend :( But we set out to go to a different playground and stumbled upon this little one....we we attempted to go to the Habitat for Humanity Restore and it was closed and then found this playground. It was nice despite the Alcholic Beverage bottles left behind from other partakers! LOL!! The boys had a blast but we all later paid for it with lots of sneezing and eye itching!! The pollen was stirred up like crazy! Here are a few pictures from yesterday!
