Update on Nanny

Well I spoke with Nanny briefly today on my lunch break. She is still in the hospital and "bedridden." They do not want her moving in that her clots will not be moving. They still do not know the exact cause, but she is still on blood thinner. She was not sure if they were going to take her down today to get more pictures in that they can see how the clots that she has is doing. She had only seen a nurse all day at this point. So not too much has changed since the last post, but please keep praying. Her being bedridden may set her back a little bit in her recovery from her knee replacement. I asked if they were coming in exercising her leg, but of course they have not because they do not want her moving a whole lot. But God is good and we are praying for a speedy recovery from it all!

J is doing good in Colorado...he survived his first weekend of boredom out there. It rained on and off on Saturday so he was unable to golf. Then he attempted to go to church on Sunday on base, but it was only for the cadets at the Academy....which was kinda weird - why turn people away from church? But was able to get in a round of golf there.

Here is a verse that spoke to me at church yesterday....something I will be pondering the next several months as we face a deployment, more separation and my goal of graduation. Praise God that He will never give us more than we can handle.
1 Corinthians 10:13 from the The Message Bible reads "No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it."

I pray each of your weeks was off to a great start today....I am definitely enjoying my "vacation" from school, even though I am working full time for these few weeks, it is nice not to have to rush home to study!

Thank you for the update on your grandmother! I texted Chris on Sunday or Monday to ask him, but he didn't have an update at the time. I love the scripture you posted. It does seem to be the most perfect verse for this time in your life as you are facing so much uncertainty. I want you to know that your faith is an inspiration to me. Love, Lauren
