Here are a few pics from this past week. As you can see Kerrick is still battling the ol impetigo...although I think we have finally got it figured out. Poor little guy - I think it bothers us more than it does him - it does not seem to bother him at all. He goes for his 6 month well child appointment this Thursday so I will be one of those mom's demanding things. I spoke to one of my Attending Doctors I work with about Kerrick's impetigo. We have come to the conclusion that he will definitely need oral antibiotics as it is going on 2 months he has had this. It will clear up for like 2 or 3 days and then come back. So my doc said that only 10% of people carry it in their nose and only oral antibiotics will work. So we will be asking for that this week at his appointment. And he also advised to but bacitracin in his nostrils at night for 10 days to help clear out the infection in his nose. I knew of other infections carried in your nose (i.e. MRSA) but did not know about impetigo being carried in your nose. The medical field truly is a rewarding job and I am always learning something new everday!! LOVE my job! So anyhoooo....I will post his stats after his appointment this week.

Finally!!
Well I am finally blogging again....not too much has been going on but still busy none the less!
The last of the family left last Monday, so we are back to the ol grind now! Kerrick is doing great despite the impetigo/fungal/whatever the doctor diagnosis for the day! His poor face has been broke out for almost 1.5 months now. It first started right after Memorial Weekend and cleared up for about 2 days and then came back. We took him to the doctor twice in which he was diagnosed with impetigo the first time and then said it was fungal the second. A friend of ours at church is a doctor and she said Saturday night it looks like impetigo in which I agree with her. So we are praying his body will fight it on off....he has to get his 6 month pictures this weekend. Yes, 6 months already!!! CRAZINESS!! He goes on the 29th for his 6month well child so I will hve some stats then, but at the last doctor visit last week he was 17.8 pounds!! Boy loves him some food.
We will try to get some pictures up this weekend....we are having a few compuer issues now and I have been ordered not to turn on the computer!!

Happy Birthday America!!
What a wonderful country we live in and today it is her birthday! Thank you to all the soldiers for their endless service for our freedom!

Kerrick's Dedication
Kerrick was dedicated this past Saturday at church! What a sweet dedication it was and we were so thankful our parents were able to come celebrate with us in dedicating Kerrick to the Lord!!
