More GoodByes

This past Friday was my last day at work and it was oh so hard to say goodbye to my coworkers and friends. They had a cake and balloons at work for me and then threw a surprise dinner for me as well that evening! I have learned so much as a new nurse with them all and grew spiritually with them as well.
The hardest part of Friday was saying goodbye to Kim and her family, Kerricks sitter. We truly were blessed more than we know with her. It is going to be hard to replace her once we get settled in in Texas! I of course did not have my camera that morning to take pictures of Kerrick and the family but Kim took pictures and put them in frames for us and we will put them up in Kerrick's new room.
I will post pictures hopefully this weekend from my coworkers - the camera is in VA with Jason.
I had a little setback so my mom flew up on Saturday and drove back with Kerrick and I on Sunday. WOW - she was a true lifesaver!! Kerrick did awesome on that leg of the trip and has been so good with all that has been going on the past few weeks!! Jason will meet up with us here in SC/GA and we will head out early next week sometime to Texas.

Starting the Good-Byes :(

This past weekend was our last Saturday at our church as a family. Oh how sad it was for me. We all went out to dinner afterwards with our church friends. And we had a yummy, beautiful cake made by talented Danielle Ramos, one of our church friends. But sadly - we forgot our camera. We have been blessed abundantly by our church family and we will truly miss them.
The packers are heading our way today - so let the fun begin!

Strolling in Yorktown

Finally...we have sat down and downloaded some pictures from the past few weeks - we are having slight computer issues!
Here is a pic last night when we went to Yorktown for our evening stroll - we have not been in a week, so it was nice to get back out there again for our walks!!
All is going well here. Jason is busy with lots of outprocessing and all the fun stuff that goes along with that! They will be here next Wednesday (if all goes well) to start packing up the house. We will then begin the fine living of hotel life! My last day of work is next Friday and truly is a bittersweet thing - I will truly miss all of my wonderful coworkers but excited to see what God has in store next for us! I actually received a call today to setup a phone interview for a job I applied for at a Wounded Warrior clinic at Brooke Medical Center at Fort Sam in San Antonio. So we shall see tomorrow how that goes. But we are anxiously ready to get this journey on its way!
Tomorrow we are taking Kerrick back to the dermatologist again. His poor face breaks out as soon as we stop the cream they gave us, so we just want to touch base with him again as it will be a bit before we are settled in in Texas and can get into derm there should we need to.

New Ride

We finally went and got Kerrick his new seat this past weekend - he has officially outgrown his "infant" carrier :( He is getting big soooo fast!! Here are a few pics of him in his new seat trying it out and one of him on his first ride in it to Mrs. Kim's house Monday morning! A few other pics are of Kerrick hanging out while Jason was adjusting everything on the seat before the trial session!!

First Harley Davidson T-Shirt

Teddy went to Sturgis in August and here is the t-shirt he sent Kerrick - his First Harley shirt!! He sported it at church and got a few comments from people about it!!

"New" Swing Set

A retired co-worker of my dad's has been so gracious and given then LOTS of baby things for Kerrick that her granddaughters once used. The latest thing was an outdoor swing attached to a slide and rock climbing wall. Uncle Chris and Angela were generous enough to tote it up here on Labor day weekend to make sure it makes it in the crates for the move! Here is a pic of Kerrick on the swing for the first time!

Family Visit

Labor Day weekend Uncle Chris and Angela came up for a visit!! Here are a few pictures!! Kerrick had a blast hanging out with him! Although I am not sure if they tired him out more or Kerrick tired them out?!!
