Caelum is 18 months!!

Caelum turned 18months a few weeks ago but we Jason took him in yesterday for his 18month well child appointment.  Unfortunately it was a lot longer of an appointment than anticipated.  Poor lil dude can not catch a break.  The doctor heard something on his right lung when listening to him so she sent him to get an xray.  We were totally shocked as he has been on the uphill for this past week and thought he was getting better from all the fevers and ear drainage.  He also had to make an unexpected trip back to ENT due to his ears still draining (it has been draining for almost 2 weeks and he has had fever on/off.)  So the xray came back as developing pneumonia or atelectasis.  She is leaning toward atelectasis (phlegm in the lungs going back and forth.)  We are  hoping it is just the atelectasis as he is running out of antibiotic options as he has had to be on antibiotics most of his life with his kidney issues.  So we just have to monitor him.  As for his ears, they had to suction out all the drainage and started some new drops.  If they are not cleared by Monday they will start him on an oral antibiotic. He also had to get his well child shots as well, so he was tuckered out and done after his 3.5 tour of the hospital.  Jason took him home in which he took over a 3 hour nap.  He is doing great and we were just surprised with everything that had taken place as again we thought he was getting better!!
Also, a side note...Jason took Caelum for his post op 3 month checkup for his kidney surgery and all is progressing well.  He is still favoring his left side and seems to bother him if you touch him in certain ways, but his kidney is doing well and we go back again in 3 months for the next follow-up!!
Anyhoooo.....here are his stats!!

Weight: 21.4 pounds  (3%)
Length:  30.55 inches  (7%)
Head Circumference:  48.5cm (68%)

Definitely a lean machine compared to Big Dude, Kerrick!!

Sorry no pic with this post....I will put up a few from Memorial Day later this weekend!!
