Duck Pond

Last night at church one my coworkers told me about a Duck Pond here which is not too far from our house.  So we stopped at Walmart and got a loaf of bread and headed to feed he Ducks this morning.   Kerrick loved it but Caelum was not too sure.  There were some little walking trails and playground there in which we took advantage of.  Kerrick only wanted to play for about 15 minutes at the playground as he wanted to go back to the ducks.  Here are a "few" pictures from this morning. Sorry there is a lot of our car and stroller in the pictures too...we parked the car and the ducks came running and Kerrick was ready to feed them.

Caelum Urology Update

Today, I took Caelum for his 6 month post op follow-up with his Urologist.  We had to first stop for the good ol ultrasound then head to see Dr. Leslie.  Praise God for the good report....before surgery he was a VERY VERY Bad grad 3 (out of 4) and today was a mild 2.  So he has released us to come back in 1 more year for a follow-up.  At that point he will see if he will release us for good...he said he could stay a mild 2 forever but he is way better than he was before surgery.  His right kidney still has reflux but he is sure he will outgrow it. So we just have to monitor for the usual as we have been.....blood in urine, UTI symptoms and such.  So nice to have such a wonderful report!!
Here are a few pictures from his visit today while waiting....Caelum did wonderful despite only having a 30 minute nap all day.  He of course was not too happy with the ultrasound part but that was due to us trying to hold him down.

One Week Down

Jason has been gone for a week thus far....and my goal everyday is TIRE them out!!  They have been pretty good as expected with everything going on and Dada not being here.  Kerrick has definitely taken on the Big Brother role and helping with Caelum and I am not even asking him.  But they still fight and have their tantrums.  Caelum still does not and most likely will not understand all that is going on but if you just say Dada his face lights up and he is looking around.  Kerrick does not fully understand other than Dada is in a helicopter (airplane somedays!) and will be gone to work for a long time.   But they are doing good as expected!!
Here are a few pictures from this past week!  Last weekend I took them to the ol playground on Lackland then we came home and played in the new sprinkler.  This past weekend, I took Kerrick to see Planes at the theaters on Saturday and Sunday we went to ChuckECheese for birthday party for one of Kerrick's classmates....sorry the pictures are not in order ;(

And in a blink he is off again!

In just a quick blink Jason is off again as duty has called him onto another "business" trip.  He left at 345 this morning.  A coworker of his came and picked him up as he had to pick up a few more items before heading out.
I don't think the boys still don't understand anything.  they "helped" Jason pack all day yesterday.  Kerrick kept on Jason's hat most of the day and kept saying this is for Dada's helicopter.  And we would say yes, Dada is going away for a long time on a helicopter.  And he was ok with that.  Then woke up this morning and while Caelum was asking for Dada, Kerrick said Caelum he went on his motorcycle.  This shall be fun!!!  LOL!!
