Happy 4th Birthday Kerrick!!

Kerrick turned the BIG 4 today!!  He has been so excited for his birthday to get here and all he wants is a Lightning McQueen cupcake.  So I took a cupcake cake to school today so he can celebrate with his friends.  Then we will head to the movies this weekend to see The Nut Job.  We will wait until Jason gets back to have a big birthday party for him.  He is so funny as I keep telling him your birthday is coming soon and we will have cupcakes with your friends at school and then when Dada gets home we will have a Big party with your friends at a jumpy place.  So he tells me that at least once a day!  And has the most excited expression on his face!!  Only if we could all live our lives like a child sees it...everything is so exciting no matter how big or even how small something is.

And as we always say, time sure does fly by.  We found out this week that he will be moving up to the next class at school.  His new class will be even more structured than his current class to help prepare him for Kinder :(  Oh so sad!!

Random Post and Prayer Request

So I finally took a pic of the countdown "wall!" for Jason!!!  Kerrick and Caelum each have their own chain so they don't fight over who gets to rip the link that day.  I think we may a few more links than needed...but better to expect more than less and have to wait even longer!!  I am not sure they quite understand but it makes me excited to see it get smaller as the time draws very near!!

And here is a picture of Caelum with his Mickey Mouse Laptop from Nanny.  The past 2 days he will run and get it from the toy box and said I wanna see Dada!  He opens it with a big smile and says look, Dada!  I probably should tape his picture inside of it for the next time he opens it!!  But too cute!!  They are going to be 2 VERY excited boys when Dada is finally home!!!  It definitely can not come any quicker!!!

We  have a HUGE prayer request.  I have mentioned in a different entry a while back.  But it is for Ms. Janelle (the boys teacher and a good friend!)  Her mother was diagnosed with Brain Cancer several months ago at stage 4.  She has been through the chemo and radiation for only more "spots" to pop up.  (Janelle may have to correct me on some of this information)  She was being seen here in San Antonio but has visited a well known Cancer Center in Houston.  She has decided to go talk surgery again with the doctors in Houston and they have an appointment this Friday.  I just ask prayers for this sweet family, wisdom and discernment for them during the decision making, and strength and peace through it all.  And pray for the doctors and the staff under them.  I can not even begin to imagine what they are going through.  Unfortunately, I have not met her mother, but if she is anything like her daughters she is a wonderful lady.  If Janelle only knew how much our little family loves and appreciates her!!  Prayers to the Ruggs fam today and in the days, weeks and months to come!!  Love you guys!!

And the late New Years Post

Happy New Years!!  We hope everyone is off to wonderful start of 2014.  We started off New Years Eve with some "fireworks!" before the boys went to bed.  Kerrick loved them however, Caelum was not too fond of them.   Then Brad, Kelly, Kately, Kara and Krista stopped by for a visit on New Years day!!

We are anxiously counting down the days until Jason gets back (at most only 45 more days left!!) WOOHOOO!!  The boys do not quite understand it all, but we will start our countdown calendar soon (I did not want to do one for the entire time Jason has been gone!)  It seems they may sense something as both of them have been asking to talk to Dada a lot lately...so we attempt to chat if Jason is available, but a bit hard with Jason's unpredictable schedule and the time difference.  But they have done exceptionally well through this whole deployment!!  We have had some rough patches but overall it has gone really well....although really slow for Jason:(

Finally a short Christmas Post

Well once again, I am finally making a late blog entry...Christmas!

The boys and I flew out to GA for Christmas.  They both did wonderful on the airplane going there but coming back Caelum was being a little pill!  But we made it back safe and sound.    We had a wonderful time seeing family and hanging out.

I did find out last month that I will be an Auntie again...Freddy and Hubby Stefan are having a baby boy at the end of this month!!  Now we are all taking bets as to when he will come....either on Kerricks, Gramm's or Freddy's birthday as they all have them in january!!  So we are very excited for them!
