Another Goodbye and Independence Day Shenanigans

This past week we had to say a Goodbye to Jason again.  We told the boys Dada was going away but they truly still did not grasp the whole concept and probably will not quite understand all this for a few more years, but hopefully by then the frequencies of goodbyes will not be so frequent!!  Everday it is always a "race" to see if we beat Dada home from work/school...so naturally, they have asked for him everyday, several times a day.  And everytime we pull in the drive, oh I bet we beat Dada home.  And I have to say, remember, Dada will be gone for a long time.  And Caelum is quickly to say, "Absolutely Dada will be back!"  Jason once said that to Caelum as he was heading out for a few days of work and he has yet to forget that every time Jason has to go somewhere.
But I have talked to him once on the phone and a few times texting.  All is going well, beside the heat is torturous.  He said one day it was 121!!!  I can not even imagine, the 90 degrees is bad enough here!
But if you guys want his contact info, let me know and I will be happy to send it your way.
Here is one of the boys the morning he left.

And here are a few pictures from Independence Day!  We went to a small town parade in the morning and then went to a Celebrations at one of the parks in the evening.  We did buy some "fireworks" earlier in the day as I thought boys would not last until the park set off their fireworks.  They actually would have lasted but preferred to come home and "shoot our fireworks!"

They each wanted to take a picture with the good camera...so here you go!

A lovely selfie with half my hand in the way at the evening Shenanigans!

Hanging out listening to the music and eating some mini donuts!
