I SURVIVED!!

I did survive my first day at the hospital...YEAH!! It was not a traumatic experience like my first clinical rotation I had when I was in Florida. Today I had a very "good" patient. He was admitted to the hospital in March because while incarcerated, he became unconscious and fell thus causing him a bit of brain/neuro trauma. So he could not speak or do much for himself, had a feeding tube, and catheter. So I had the good case for the day. But all went smoothly and my teacher let us work with a partner (in which I don't think she was suppose too, but we were all SOOO nervous!) I know I will most likely be nervous each time, but it will be a slight less nerve racking each time! But all it takes is some prayer to walk me through it all...the Lord was definitely with me all day and kept filling up my confidence! So we shall see what Thursday will bring on my surgery rotation....my classmates had some "awesome" cases today!

Also, just a quick prayer request....Nanny, my grandma, had her other knee replaced today, so if you would please be in prayer for her recovery and for my mom, as she will help her out this first week. I have not heard the report from the surgery, but will hopefully get a call in a bit tonight.

I pray you all are having a wonderful week!
